I love your work but how do I make a purchase?
Click on the painting that interests you, fill in the required information, and hit the "add to cart" button. This will take you to the shopping cart. Click the box to the left of the item(s) you have ordered and then confirm the order by clicking on the "place order" button in the middle of the page. You should now be looking at the Order Confirmation Page. Here, you are issued an order verification number and are given a final chance to double check your order. We recommend that you print this page for your records. If everything looks correct, click on the "check out" button about a third of the way down the page. You will now be at the usaepay checkout page. This is the final step. Here, you will be asked for your payment information and your order will be confirmed and received.
Your prices are odd numbers. Why is this?
The prices are based on a simple formula which is $2.00 per square inch plus $100 for materials. They are priced by size not by completion time. Here’s how a 24 x 36 inch painting is priced:
24x36=864
864x2=1728
1728+100=1828
Unless otherwise stated (like the small canvas boards at $200 each), all of the paintings on www.marijae.com are priced this way.
Before I give my credit card information, I’d like to know what the usaepay security policy is.

On your homepage, you offer the opportunity to create an account. Why should I do this and will the information I provide be safe and private?
Each user that is set up with a username and password automatically is set up with a document library. This user may have input their information into the database by purchasing a product, or signing up for an account on the home page. This library is used to distribute specific information to specific users. For example, Jane can login to retrieve the newsletter that was left for her and Bob can login to retrieve the drawings that were left for him. Jane can not view Bob’s drawings and Bob can not view Jane’s newsletter. This is particularly useful in quoting commissions, passing show contracts back and forth, and distributing Mari Jae`s newsletter. The information provided can only be accessed by one user and that is the artist Mari Jae.
Are your paintings original?
All of the paintings on www.marijae.com are original oil paintings done on stretched canvas or canvas board by the artist, Mari Jae. They are all done from direct observation of models, still lives, dogs or city scenes.
Are your paintings framed?
Some of them are. When you click on any of the painting thumbnails, a detailed description of that piece appears. The paintings that are framed, say "FRAMED" in the description box. Otherwise they are not framed.
Are the unframed paintings ready to hang?
Yes. The unframed paintings come with the sides painted black and with hangers on the back.
You paint using a lot of strange shapes. What do they mean?
